Sky's the Limit Album > STL employee, Grace Han, speaks to class about life with Cerebral Palsy
Grace Han (STL Office Assistant) visited The Linden School’s grade 5 class to share her experience living with Cerebral Palsy and the impact it has had in her life. The class has been reading Out of my Mind by Sharon Draper as their English novel study. The main character is a girl named Melody who is living with Cerebral Palsy and has no way to communicate. The book is about her journey trying to find a way to have her voice heard and to stop people from underestimating her capabilities.

Grace shared her experiences of living with different abilities and the ways that they have impacted her life. She also talked about her experience of emigrating from Korea as the class was doing a project on immigration. The students asked a lot of questions, such as "What was the the first food that Grace tried in Canada?" (which was pizza by the way). Grace had a great time engaging with the class and it ended with the students asking if she could come back for an all day visit with them!
